If you’ve looked into early childhood education, chances are you’ve come across Montessori. But did you know it can also be a great learning tool for babies as young as newborns? While most people of think of it for preschool-age children and older, the Montessori practices and ideas can be really useful for babies’ development, as well. Here’s a primer on how and why babies and Montessori can be great together.
Monti Kids was inspired by my experience with our first baby, Musa. Five years later, we welcome our second child just a few months after Monti Kids launched! Meet our new baby boy, Zayd.
How do I get my child more interested in playing with the toys the correct way? He plays with the toys the wrong way and gets irritated when I try and show him the right way and then he stops all together. Is there anything I can do to get him more interested in playing with the toys the correct way or should I just let him play with him the way he wants?
Kristien from our marketing team and I introduced Monti Kids at the largest show for new and expectant parents in the country. We attended the 2017 New York Baby Show along with thousands of families and over 200 global brands and services. We created a play space in our booth (that attracted a lot of children!) with a sample of our Montessori toys and demo videos from different levels in our program.
